Auslan Alphabet

 

The sign language used in Australian deaf community is caled Auslan which is short for Australian Sign Language. Fingerspelling is an important part of Auslan and is used for signing the words that Auslan does not posseses. Auslan Alphabet enables signer to use fingerspelling as a basic tool to communicate. For example when communicating in Auslan, person's names are fingerspelt.

 

The alphabet screen animates letters of the auslan alphabet. Tap Alphabet button to start the display. Use slider to slow down or speed up the display. Tap the slider to repeat the display at selected speed. Hint button will briefly explain how to use the alphabet screen of the app.
